It's About the Color

President Donald Trump has been talking about sending Venezuelan refugees back.

Remember, those are the folks who fled a repressive leftist dictatorship.

Trump is gutting USAID that provides life-giving aid to hundreds of thousands, many in Africa and Asia.

But Trump is coming to the defense of white South Africans, most notably Afrikaners who are the descendants of Dutch settlers who, as a minority, instituted apartheid which kept the majority Black South Africans from jobs and opportunities, and locked in slums. That system finally unraveled, bringing Blacks to power in 1994.

Now Trump is accusing the black-led government with racism and discriminating against whites. And he has announced a plan to offer Afrikaners refugee status in the United States.

And I thought this was an administration which was against refugees, trying to limit their entrance to the U.S., force out those who are here, and arresting and deporting the undocumented even if they are living peacefully, raising families of children who only know the United States as home, and contributing to the American economy.

Why the difference?

Gee, the Afrikaners are white. And apparently many are against affirmative action, that evil DEI that seeks to make the playing field level for all people.

And let’s not forget: Co-President Elon Musk grew up on South Africa. Reportedly,

Musk is unhappy with the South African government because it denied a license for his Starlink satellite internet service. The reason: He would meet the country’s affirmative action criteria.

There seems to be a pattern here: Whites, especially those opposed to equality, are welcome. All others: Not wanted.

Our co-presidents must be making the Proud Boys proud.
